I am Professor Emeritus in the Cancer Epidemiology Program at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Washington in Seattle. My main interests are the etiology and prevention of cancer, particularly those arising in the upper respiratory and GI tracts.

I also maintain a website focused on the prevention and control of esophageal cancer: ESOCAN.org
